Saint Paul’s Cathedral

Saint Paul’s church is said to be one of the oldest churches in India. It was constructed during 1870 in a Gothic style with incredible craftsmanship. Its massive pillars, roofs, and designed arches depict the supreme form of ancient architecture. This sacred church is a famous spot to visit at Ranchi Church road in Jharkhand.

War Cemetery

This can be called the Indian “West minister Abbey”. It is notable for being the memory land of 708 soldiers of undivided India. Located at the Ranchi- Hazaribagh road, the cemetery is a well-classified tome stone yard. Here, near-by places to visit can be Ranchi Hill, Tagore Hill, (Moradabad Hill) Ranchi Lake Etc.

Sutiambe

Sutiambe is located just18 km from the district headquarters. This location has an archaeological site near Kanke. Previously it was the capital of Nagwanshi Dynasty of Chota Nagpur. This historical proof of values is situated at the fort of Nagwanshi dynasty on the Murhu hills, where you’ll see an ancient style of sculptures related to Brahmanical Gods and Goddesses.

Getalsud Reservoir

If you want to go for a picnic in Ranchi, you can’t find a better place than Getlsud Reservoir. Filled nature’s unrivaled charm, it is a splendid location for a picnic after a 40 km drive from the district headquarters. The reservoir is in the township of Getalsud and the River Subarnarekha flows through these regions as irrigation.

Hatia Dam

Another fascinating place to visit in Ranchi, which is gaining popularity among nature lovers. Just an 11 km journey from the district headquarters provides a sumptuous picnic location to the tourists in this state. The 17th century ‘Jagannath temple’ is an added value nearby this spot.

Kanke Dam

Here spend some calm moments in the cradle of nature and admire the captivating vista of Ranchi. About 5 km from the district headquarters, you can have a natural bliss of scenery. The lake is situated on the base of Gonda Hills. The Rock garden is another spot to visit here.

Tribal Research Institute and Museum

This is a wonderful spot to admire and learn about the past living of mankind in this region. The museum expresses a keen knowledge about the tribal living and the anthropology and further exhibits the great collections of stone sculptures, terracotta’s, arms and ethnological objects. Located at Morabadi in Ranchi district, the museum usually remains open from 10:30 to 17:00 hrs.

Deori Temple

Nearly 65 km from the district headquarters, Deori temple is situated near Tamaar village on the Ranchi – Tata road. The worshipping Goddess here is Durga. It is an ancient shrine and people still conduct the poojas here.

Temples of Harradith

Harradith temple is a renowned spot of prehistoric ideas. The temple dates back the time of 9th century. Here, you’ll see the twin temples for Lord Shiva and Goddess Durga. It is located at a distance of 15 km from the place Bundu.

Dassam Waterfalls

This location will be an awesome spot to freak out in some jungle adventure. This is located at a distance of 40km from the district headquarters amidst the Taimara village, where River Kanchi gushes out from a height of 144 ft. and offers an astronomical view of splendor.

Hundru waterfalls

Hundru waterfall  is situated at a distance of about 45 km from the district headquarters. The waterfall is surrounded by the verdant greenery and offers a soul-rejuvenating experience. This cascade has the water resources from the river Swarnarekha and it falls from 320 ft height. At the bottom of the fall, there is a pool with swimming and bathing facilities, which are aesthetic and sensational to dwell in the jungle while on nature’s lap.

Panch Ghagh

The name of this spot “means the five cascades” is situated at a distance of 55 km from the district headquarters. The exact spot is on the way to Simdega Via khunti.

Jonha Waterfalls

Jonha Waterfall is another natural blissful location near the Rarhu river amidst the dense forest. This spot is also known as Gauthamdhara and the falls gush in a cascade from a height of 150 ft. The entire place is encamped with salubrious living in nature and also holistic. There is also a temple dedicated to Lord Buddha.  This wonderful spot is located at a distance of about 40 km from the district headquarters. If you want prior reservations and permissions, get in touch with the tourism department of Ranchi.

Hirni Falls

This spot takes you far away from the maddening crowd and the chaotic chaos of urban life. Here, luxuriate in nature and feel pleasantness. This location of natural beauty is situated by 75km from the district headquarters.
